We see over and over again in scripture an exhortation to recall the faithfulness of God. A way to soothe the heart when trials come, to rehearse and remember as a means to rest in Him.
The clay beads are reflective of the 12 stones built as a memorial to our God who keeps his promises. A way to RECALL his faithfulness back when the Red Sea was parted in Exodus and here, in Joshua where the Jordan River is parted for the Israelite people.
