I know, O LORD, that your rules are righteous, and that in faithfulness you have afflicted me. Let your steadfast love comfort me according to your promise to your servant.

Psalm 119:75-76

Know that you are not standing on top of that pick up sticks game alone, the LORD is simultaneously the table underneath holding the whole thing up and the hand we squeeze on top full of comfort and reassurance. There is no freefall in this game, only precious comfort and support from the one who mourns with us and holds us tight through the storm. 

Because, the truth is, the LORD is near, his steadfast love is our comfort (Psalm 119:76). He is molding and shaping us through our trials, drawing us into a type of comfort which listens well to the lament and holds us up in the heartache. 

 

I pray you feel the LOVE and comfort of God in the trials, pour out your heart to him in lament and feel his cradling comfort carrying you.
